Care & Washing

✨ How to Wash Your Night Nappies (Without Losing Your Mind) ✨

Step 1: Deal with the Deed
If there’s poop, pop it in the loo. If your baby’s still on milk feeds, you can skip this part (lucky you).

Toss the used nappy into a dry pail! No soaking, no drama.

Hot tip: Can’t prewash within 12 hous? Give that night nappy a hot hand rinse when it comes off bub to flush out the wee and keep things fresh.

Step 2: Pre-Wash Like a Pro

Run a quick 30–60 minute cycle at 40–60°C with detergent. This gets the worst of the gunk out and preps your nappies for the real deal.

Once done, pop them back in the dry pail for another 48–72 hours max.

Step 3: Main Wash = Deep Clean

Time for the heavy lifting: a long 2–3 hour cycle (cotton or heavy-duty) at 40–60°C with detergent. This is where the magic happens.

Step 4: Dry Like a Queen

Air dry in the sun, or use a clothes dryer on low heat if you're in a rush or just over it.

Because clean night nappies = dry nights = happy cheeks (and happier mums). 💁‍♀️

How do I wash and care for my night nappies?

Simply rinse off any solids, then store in a dry pail or wet bag for up to 12 hours.

Machine wash on a short (30-60 minute) cycle at 40–60°C with your regular detergent

Within 24 hours, machine wash again on a long (2-3 hours) cycle at 40–60°C with your regular detergent, then line dry or tumble dry on low.

Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to protect the bamboo and cotton fibres and maintain absorbency.

I was a bit skeptical at first about the night nappies but they truly are a breeze to use. Once I used my first one, I was sold on them. I didn’t have to change my 8 month old all night, she stayed comfy and dry and she didn’t even wet through- and no leaks. I had ordered the heavy wetter- it came with a snake insert and a second insert. It wasn’t even bulky at all. I’m so impressed, I’ll be ordering more!

If you’re like me, you’re probably stalking this beautiful company on tiktok and Insta and thinking is it really worth trying they look too good to be true. WELL I guarantee you, you will be beyond satisfied. The quality is incomparable to others I’ve used. The night nappies really are sooo soft and I have had no leaks or marking!! The day nappies are incredibly designed too. I can’t stop raving about them to everybody. I can not wait to slowly replace my stash with these nappies. Worth the investment!

A friend recommended this brand but I was cautious as it was never mentioned as a favourite in the group.

Well…These people need to know that this nappy is the beez kneez and they don’t know what they’re missing! The lining and seams are sooooo soft, they’re not bulky, and the best bit - NO LEAKS! 🙌🏼 I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

These nappies are the absolute best on the market. I have tried other brands and they just don't meet the standards of Mimi & Co nappies. The designs, the textiles used and the effort that goes into each order can nor be matched by any other company. When I first tried the 2.0 range, I thought there would be no way they'd fit my chunky bub. Turns out they are amazing! They fit so well around chubby legs and amazingly around a chubby tummy with the little dip added in! And their patterns are so cute! I'm in love 😍

We LOVE this gorgeous design. This product can hold multiple layers, with a wider insert that is more roomy for the inside layers. We have had a few leakages through this material but we still figuring out MCN. This is NOT a product issue. it is an absorbency issue to which we are experimenting with layering and where my child needs more cloth layers for better absorbency. 🌸

These are wonderful for our 4m girl who has been determined to sleep through the night since she was 5 weeks old. We were unsure about doing cloth at night and when going out, but the Mimi nappies make it so incredibly easy.

Brilliant

I was so impressed with these pants! My daughter is 3.5 years old hated the potty so I was unsure about jumping straight into pants. One month on… Jasmine is now comfortably using the toilet. No accidents at bedtime. And more comfortable with number 2’s.
My daughter is very picky, cautious and needs to feel in control and safe.

Easy wipes

Easier than you think to convert to cloth wipes from disposable! These do such a much better job of cleaning up number 2’s than the disposables and they really are just so easy to incorporate into your routine.

Mimi’s 2.0’s are the best! By far the best fitting nappy from a skinny newborn to chunky baby and then toddler years. The more slender wing design means they fit so much better than other brands. My only regret was not purchasing them sooner!

I adore the Penny cloth nappy print!! It's become my favourite in our collection. After trying the bamboo terry inserts with this nappy, I don't think I can go back to the 'old' style inserts as nothing compares to the softness, flexibility, and moldability of bamboo terry.
