Care & Washing Instructions

Caring for your Mimi® Reusable Menstrual Underwear is simple, and if you already use cloth nappies, you can wash them exactly the same way.

If you don’t use cloth nappies:

Remove most of the blood or urine by rinsing in cold water. Many people find it easy to do this in the shower at the end of the day.
Pop them in a wet bag or laundry basket until you’re ready to wash.

Washing:

Wash on a warm cycle (30–40°C) for everyday cleaning. You can also wash at 60°C without any problems.
Use your regular laundry detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners as they can damage the fibres and reduce absorbency.
You can wash them with your regular laundry — no need for a separate load.

Drying:

Low heat is safe.
Lay flat or hang in the shade for best longevity.

Tip: Proper care will keep your underwear fresh, absorbent, and long-lasting, so you can rely on them cycle after cycle.

How do I choose between Regular and Heavy absorbency?

Our Regular absorbency underwear has protection in the gusset and is perfect for light to medium flow days.

Our Heavy absorbency style has absorbent layers from the front to the back, holding more liquid for heavy flow days, overnight wear, or postpartum bleeding.

For heavier days, you might also consider our menstrual discs for internal protection, or shop our menstrual care bundles to mix and match your flow products.

Can I wear menstrual underwear overnight?
