✨ How to Wash Your Night Nappies (Without Losing Your Mind) ✨

Step 1: Deal with the Deed
If there’s poop, pop it in the loo. If your baby’s still on milk feeds, you can skip this part (lucky you).

Toss the used nappy into a dry pail! No soaking, no drama.

Hot tip: Can’t prewash within 12 hous? Give that night nappy a hot hand rinse when it comes off bub to flush out the wee and keep things fresh.

Step 2: Pre-Wash Like a Pro

Run a quick 30–60 minute cycle at 40–60°C with detergent. This gets the worst of the gunk out and preps your nappies for the real deal.

Once done, pop them back in the dry pail for another 48–72 hours max.

Step 3: Main Wash = Deep Clean

Time for the heavy lifting: a long 2–3 hour cycle (cotton or heavy-duty) at 40–60°C with detergent. This is where the magic happens.

Step 4: Dry Like a Queen

Air dry in the sun, or use a clothes dryer on low heat if you're in a rush or just over it.

Because clean night nappies = dry nights = happy cheeks (and happier mums). 💁‍♀️

How do I wash and care for my night nappies?

Simply rinse off any solids, then store in a dry pail or wet bag for up to 12 hours.

Machine wash on a short (30-60 minute) cycle at 40–60°C with your regular detergent

Within 24 hours, machine wash again on a long (2-3 hours) cycle at 40–60°C with your regular detergent, then line dry or tumble dry on low.

Avoid bleach and fabric softeners to protect the bamboo and cotton fibres and maintain absorbency.

Great night nappy

I was a bit skeptical at first about the night nappies but they truly are a breeze to use. Once I used my first one, I was sold on them. I didn’t have to change my 8 month old all night, she stayed comfy and dry and she didn’t even wet through- and no leaks. I had ordered the heavy wetter- it came with a snake insert and a second insert. It wasn’t even bulky at all. I’m so impressed, I’ll be ordering more!

WELL I guarantee you, you will be beyond satisfied. The quality is incomparable to others I’ve used. The night nappies really are sooo soft and I have had no leaks or marking!! The day nappies are incredibly designed too. I can’t stop raving about them to everybody. I can not wait to slowly replace my stash with these nappies. Worth the investment!

I was cautious to try night MCN nappies as I’d heard horror stories of leaks in MCN groups.

A friend recommended this brand but I was cautious as it was never mentioned as a favourite in the group.

Well…These people need to know that this nappy is the beez kneez and they don’t know what they’re missing! The lining and seams are sooooo soft, they’re not bulky, and the best bit - NO LEAKS! 🙌🏼 I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
(Supersoaker maxi used - with some absorbency left. 12 hours with 4 feeds overnight).

Love the print

These nappies are the absolute best on the market. I have tried other brands and they just don't meet the standards of Mimi & Co nappies. The designs, the textiles used and the effort that goes into each order can nor be matched by any other company. Wish I had found them sooner or that they were around when I had my first child as I would never have used disposables otherwise.

Great quality nappy

Love my trial nappy, ended up buying more. They feel high quality and the fabric is soft and flexible. Love the athletic wicking jersey, double gusset and poonami protectors. The inserts wash really well and maintain their shape. Lots of room for baby to grow. The elastic at the top of the front means that even with the bulk of the insert at the front for a boy, the shell sits flush against his skin.

Best wipe you’ll find.

I love these wipes, they are amazing at picking any mess and feel so soft on the skin. They have the added bonus of being made from natural fibre unlike many others on the market. Only drawbacks are they can stain slightly when not washed straight away.

Amazing product.

I live this product! I found the instruction on the bottom of the tin super easy to find and follow. I was a bit confused by the differing recommendations of how much lanolin to use when rejuvenating my wool nappy covers, but the instructions on the tin worked very well.

Excellent nappies, high quality

I’ve now used 3x brands of MCNs and Mimi & Co are easily my favourite. The quality is superior, the waistband is very stretchy to ensure a good fit, and they liners are absorbent. The liners do take the longest to dry of any of the MCNs I have, but I guess that shows just how absorbent they are. Highly recommend.
