MIMI & CO REVERSIBLE PODS

Our Reversible pods are the ideal storage solution for modern cloth nappies when travelling on short and long trips e.g. going to the shops or going on a road trip. It keeps the nappies organised and easily accessible. They can also be used as carry bags for clean, wet or soiled nappies and wipes or as small travel bags or swimming bags. 

 

+ Single zip compartment with a dual layer of PUL makes it waterproof and easy to clean
+ Turn inside-out for a different functional print
+ Comes with a large versatile handle on each side and tabs that can also be used as a hanging hook off a pram
+ Holds 9 modern cloth nappies with 2x inserts or 13+ modern cloth nappies (shells only) approx

    MODERN CLOTH NAPPIES

    + Wash before first use. Please wash colours separately to avoid any potential colour run
    + Inserts usually will take a few washes to reach its full absorbency (could be 6 washes or more)
    + Use a detergent which works for you and your family

    Washing Instructions:
    1. Knock off or rise any solids from the nappy
    2. Dry pail for 1-2 days maximum
    3. Pre Wash: 40-60' short wash (1hr)
    4. Main Wash: 40-60' Long wash (2-3hrs)
    5. Line dry or cool tumble dry

    NIGHT NAPPIES

    + Same as Modern Cloth Nappies, but prewash must be completed within 24 hours.
    + Night nappies can be rinsed in hot water in the morning and dry-pailed until the next morning if required
    + If using night nappies, both pre and main wash will need to be 60 degrees

     

    SANITARY PADS

    1. Rinse blood or urine in cold water until water runs clear
    2. Dry pail for 1-2 days maximum
    3. Pre Wash: 40-60' short wash (1hr)
    4. Main Wash: 40-60' Long wash (2-3hrs)
    5. Line dry or cool tumble dry

     

    WET BAGS & PODS

    + Wipe down between uses if required
    + When needed, throw into your main wash

    NURSING PADS

    + Wash in your main wash, with other clothes or nappies is fine

    HELP! I'M NOT SURE WHERE TO START!

    Firstly, congratulations on wanting to start your reusable journey. Getting started can seem daunting, but with the right resources you can have a very successful reusable journey. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, in fact we recommend starting with just a few nappies or reusable products. Find your groove - get your absorbency + wash routine right and you're in for success!

    ERGH, THE WASHING..

    Did you know, according to a 2020 survey - the number one reason why families put off reusable products is because of the washing. I'm here to tell you it's really simple - in fact it's so simple it can be broken up into just 4 steps.

    1. Dry Pail your dirty nappies in a "airy" basket until it's time to wash

    2. Pre Wash your nappies within 24 hours on hot (40-60 degrees)

    3. Main Wash your nappies within 48 hours of pre-wash on hot (40-60 degrees)

    4. Dry

    WHAT COMES INCLUDED WITH MY NAPPIES?

    Each range of nappies come with a selection of inserts.

    Our Originals come with a buttery soft outer shell made from 100% post consumer plastic, 1x super-absorbent 5 layer bamboo cotton snap-in foldable snake insert and 1x super soaker 4 layer hemp cotton snap-in booster.

    Our Everyday v1.0s come with 2 included inserts; one bamboo terry insert + one microfiber insert

     

    WHAT ARE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS?

    2 billion nappies alone are disposed of annually. 450,000 tonnes of waste are dumped in Australian landfill each year as a result of disposable nappies, baby wipes, disposable sanitary pads, tampons, incontinence pads and breast pads. When combined with feminine sanitary pads, tampons, incontinence products, and such hygiene products, this figure equates to more than 7 million items per day, taking around 500 years to break down. Any decrease in this number has a positive impact on the environment, whether you choose to use reusables full time or only occasionally.

    HOW MANY NAPPIES DO I NEED?

    Whether you want to start using cloth nappies part-time or full-time, here’s how many nappies you’ll need to begin.

    Part-time use: 8 to 10 cloth nappies is enough for part-time use of 2-3 per day.

    Full-time day use: 12 to 18 cloth nappies is enough for full-time day use of 4-6 per day.

    Full-time day and night use: 24 to 28 cloth nappies.

    The number of nappies you need heavily depends on the age of bub and also how often you want to wash your nappies

    Best nappy EVER

    I’ve been trying lots of different brands for my chunky babe who needs AWJ lined nappies due to sensitive skin. Finally, I’ve found the perfect one!!!     Amazing!

    Originals 2.0's are absolutely amazing, I started with 2 and have now invested in a whole stash. The inserts are super absorbent with the ability for different combinations, and the internal gussets mean these really do hold everything in. We're yet to have any leaks or blow outs as the fit is so good. Plus the prints are an absolute dream. Could not recommend highly enough.

    Love the Original 2.0s and have added a few to my stash! So easy to fit and my little one looks very comfortable in hers, not to mention the gorgeous prints! The inserts are super absorbent and the double gussets are great for keeping everything contained!

    Well made and trim fitting

    These nappies are really lovey quality and value for money. The PUL is soft and stretchy, the liners are very absorbent even from new and the snaps are the strongest I’ve come across! I especially love how the waist snaps are alternated between male / female snaps for top and bottom row (as pictured). This seems to make a big difference with the strength of the waist hold stopping little hands from removing the nappies themselves.

    Spacious and very well made

    Purchased as my first nappy pod as we frequently travel and nappies normally just float around our bags and hide when you desperately need them. Definitely won’t be a problem anymore as this pod can hold 7 standard nappies plus extra inserts/ wipes etc easily. Love the handle, the soft PUL and the print is beautiful!

    Finally found a night nappy that works!

    I had nearly been turned off night nappies as every single night nappy I’ve ever tried has not been able to stand up to my heavy wetting 8 month old.
    Thankfully I was looking for something to get my cart up to the free postage amount (haha) and I thought I’d give this one a go as well. So glad I did!
    The first night I bulked it up with extra inserts as my previous experiences were still haunting me. The next day I went back to just one small additional insert as some layers were still dry and it didn’t miss a beat!
    Much trimmer than any other night nappies and fit my chubby legged hard to fit baby well. Also dries much quicker than other brands I’ve tried.
    If your on the fence, please just give them a go!

    Versatile super absorbent wipes!

    These wipes are lovely and soft yet still super absorbent! Because they are so soft we avoid the kicking and screaming that normally comes when I’m trying to clean my daughters face after a meal. She also seems to think they are very handy for cleaning up her mess too (which I definitely agree with!). Will definitely be ordering more of these!

    My absolute favourite wet bag! The zipper quality is amazing i have been struggling to find a wet bag that is sturdy and the zippers are always so difficult to zip and unzip but with the mimi&co one it glides so easily!
